Job Description:

Solutions Consultant

The Solutions Consultant will act as the primary liaison between customers and our development team, ensuring customization requests are clearly defined, priced, developed, tested, and delivered to the customer’s satisfaction. This role requires a blend of customer success, technical aptitude, and project management skills to drive seamless execution and maintain strong client relationships.  You will bridge the gap between Sales, Product Development, and Engineering to ensure the successful customization and implementation of our SaaS-based mobile event management application. You will own the process from requirements gathering through delivery—translating client needs into actionable specifications, managing implementation, and ensuring a high-quality launch.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Engagement & Requirements Gathering:

  • Collaborate with Sales to understand customer goals, pain points, and use cases during the sales cycle.
  • Conduct discovery sessions with clients to gather detailed customization requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into high-level functional specifications and/or solution designs.

Project Scoping & Statement of Work:

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to validate feasibility and define scope.
  • Balance client needs with product capabilities and propose best-fit solutions.
  • Define scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources needed for implementation projects.
  • Develop accurate Statements of Work (SOWs) for professional services engagements.

Solution Design, Implementation & Project Management:

  • Draft comprehensive technical specifications and user stories, as needed, for customization work.
  • Lead implementation projects from kickoff through delivery, acting as the main point of contact for internal teams and clients.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, risks, and communication.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and design.

Quality Assurance & Testing:

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure customizations meet defined requirements.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients and manage feedback cycles.
  • Ensure smooth handover to account teams post-implementation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in implementation, solutions delivery, or product/project management in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of mobile app ecosystems and SaaS delivery models.
  • Experience writing functional specifications and scoping professional services engagements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both technical and non-technical).
  • Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master).
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics (e.g., churn, MRR) and customer lifecycle management.
  • Technical background or understanding of software development principles.
  • Events experience is a big advantage.
